Psalm 138

Psalm 138 is a song of gratitude written by David. David praises God not because life has been easy, but because he has experienced God's faithfulness through every season. He recognizes that God's love is constant, His promises are trustworthy, and His presence gives strength when life is difficult.
"The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me; Your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not abandon the work of Your hands." (Psalm 138:8)
Verse 8 offers tremendous hope: "The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me." This is a reminder that God is actively at work in our lives. Even when we don't understand our circumstances, God has not forgotten us. His plans are not interrupted by our setbacks, failures, or unanswered questions.
David ends with confidence in God's steadfast love. He knows that because God's love endures forever, He will not abandon what He has begun. That same promise encourages believers today. God is still shaping, teaching, and leading His people according to His perfect purpose.
When you feel uncertain about the future, remember that your life is not guided by chance but by a faithful God who finishes what He starts.
